Understanding Part I Exam Results
Welcome! We would like to congratulate you on completing the Part I exam, whether you received a
pass or fail, this is an achievement. The Part I exam is the first of a 3-part exam process, and Auditors
must achieve 75% + in each exam to pass and gain their CSCA credential. We created this result
guide to help you read and understand your exam report and to identify areas of improvement,
either in preparation for your next attempt of the Part I exam or as preparation for the Part II exam.
Exam Questions are divided into 4 sections:
					•
					•
					•
					•
					Business Integrity
					Foundational Skills
					Human Rights
					Workplace Environment
Three of the sections include multiple categories, and these are noted within your exam report.
There are a total of 100 questions on the Part I exam and each exam paper receives the same
number of questions per section. The questions will be different for each exam as they are randomly
assigned from a pool of questions.
On page 1 of the exam report there are 4 circles which provide guidance as to how you went within
that section. Please note the individual sections do NOT include the same number of questions. For
example, one section may have a set number of 20 questions, whilst another will have 30. The
number of questions for each section does not change between exams, only the questions being
					asked will change.
For multiple choice & true/false questions, each correct answer will earn 1 point. However, if an
answer is incorrect or no answer is given, not only are no points awarded for that question, but a
score of 0.25 will be deducted from the total points already received.
For questions which require 2 or 3 answers, 0.25 points are deducted for each incorrect response for
					that question.
					Example:
When you commence your exam you start with 100 points. If you get your first question correct,
you will still have a score of 100. If your next answer is incorrect, you will have a score of 98.75 out
of a possible 100 (which is the loss of 1 point for the incorrect answer plus the loss of 0.25).
